XXYYXX is the pseudonym of the 16 year old, Orlando based producer Marcell Everett. With influences stemming from chillwave, dubstep, and lo-fi, he has been likened to big names such as Toro Y Moi and Washed Out, and by no means is this an understatement. His music has been featured on XLR8R, Earmilk and more. His debut album ‘Still Sound’ was released on the Orlando label Relief in Abstract. His album is only priced at $1 (₤0.63) so show some support and download it! Favourites on the album are ‘Letter 23′ which sounds like an 80s crime drama montage song, and ‘Drug Life’ which could have been featured on the movie Drive‘s already 80s new wave themed soundtrack. Keep an eye on this young producer as I’m sure only greater things are sure to come.
