Now I know this song is almost a year old now it doesn’t take away the fact that I still can’t stop listening to it. I thought that maybe there are some of you out there who are yet to hear the haunting La Roux esque vocals, and the contagiously catchy beats of this South London band Alpines. Their track ‘Cocoon’ is incredible. Their are hints of dubstep and drum & bass with powerful piano chords, topped off with piercing, passionate female vocals.

To add to this perfection, Maya Jane Coles has done a remix under her moniker ‘Nocturnal Sunshine‘. Giving the track a dubstep treatment, we are left with a much darker track with those haunting vocals echoing over the top of the ominous bass.
