Many of you will remember a POST we did a while back introducing the Brooklyn-based producer Arae, well the time has finally come for the debut album of this young producer. This guy takes concentration to a new level and when he says he’s going to make an album he does it… and in a big way. The album is almost like a majestic journey through genres spanning from ambient garage to the deep thumping dub of the track ‘Witching Hour’. Every track entices you deeper and deeper until you are enveloped by the raw emotion of these tracks. Arae is doing what he does best and creating music not to what the latest trend might be, but to fuel his much needed originality in the confusion of sub-genres that is today’s music. Standout track for me is ‘Bordello’. ’The Longest Night’ is fully worth the listen and he’s even been kind enough to offer the entire album as a free download. Listen and take the trip.
